Infants: 6weeks-12months

The first year for babies is crucial because they learn to focus their vision, reach out, explore, and learn about the things that are around them. They are also developing bonds of love and trust with their caregivers as part of social and emotional development. We allow our Infants to create their very own schedule that meets their individual needs in regards to feeding and napping.

We cater to your baby by allowing him/her to communicate their needs to us through verbal and nonverbal cues.

We do and encourage the following...

  • Play with baby when he/she is alert and relaxed

  • Plenty of tummy time

  • Praise baby and give lots of loving attention

  • Read to baby

Younger Toddlers: 1year-2years

our toddlers and during the second year, they are moving around more, know more about their surroundings and they are aware of themselves. They have a desire to explore new objects and faces. Toddlers will also show greater independence; begin to show defiant behavior; recognize themselves in pictures or a mirror; and imitate the behavior of others, especially adults and older children. Toddlers also should be able to recognize the names of familiar people and objects, form simple phrases and sentences, and follow simple instructions and directions. We promote and encourage independence by allowing the children to feed/dress oneself, clean up, potty training, and express their needs/wants daily.

We do and encourage the following...

  • Read to him/her daily

  • Practice tracing letters and numbers

  • Encourage child to read, look at pictures in books

  • Encourage him/her to explore and try new things

Preschool: 3years -4years old

During this age the older toddlers will experience huge thinking, learning, social, and emotional changes that will help them to explore their new world, and make sense of it. During this stage, toddlers should also be able to follow two-three-step directions, sort objects by shape and color, imitate the actions of adults and playmates, and express a wide range of emotions.

We encourage them to work independently, observe others, explore freely, and express their curiosity and creativity. We foster toilet awareness and independence in maintaining personal hygiene (such as learning how to wipe one’s nose and wash hands independently). Children learn more quickly and effectively through hands-on experiences and practices. The more children integrate what they touch and feel with what they hear and see, the more likely they are to learn.

We do and encourage the following...

  • Story time

  • Encourage child to take part in pretend play

  • Play parade or follow the leader

  • Encourage child to tell his/her name and age
